Wednesdays from 6:30-8:15pm
Awana is our Wednesday night children’s program that takes place throughout the school year. Kids will experience interactive games and lessons as they learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives. Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (II Timothy 2:15). Awana’s goal is to provide the solid foundation children need to grow and become adults who know, love and serve the Lord.
Awana meets Wednesday evenings (August – May) from 6:30-8:15pm. The evening is divided into three activities:
- Game Time
Game time is designed for children to have fun and learn to be a part of a team. Games revolve around the Awana circle and allow everyone to participate. Once a year, children in the T&T age group are given the opportunity to train and participate in the Awana Games, an exciting competition with other Awana Clubs. - Handbook Time
Each child in Awana works through assignments in their handbook. During Handbook Time, children recite memory verses and have the opportunity to earn awards and badges for their Awana uniform. - Large Group Time
During Large Group Time, students participate in a Bible lesson that is designed for their spiritual growth and an awards ceremony to distribute awards earned.
